Tips for an even better juice
Choose a fresh red cabbage. A firm, well-colored cabbage will generally give a more appealing dish.
Opt for fresh lemons. Their taste is brighter and more balanced than that of industrially produced lemon juices.
Taste before adding sugar. Blueberries may be naturally sweet enough that you don't need to add honey.
Don't overcook the cabbage. Overcooking can result in a stronger, less fresh flavor.
Serve chilled. A few hours in the refrigerator allows the different flavors to harmonize better.
Gourmet variations
Blackberry version
Replace the blueberries with blackberries for a more tart and intensely fruity drink.
With green apple
Add a few pieces of green apple to provide natural sweetness and a slightly crunchy note.
Tropical version
Add some pineapple to create a fruity drink with tropical accents.
With ginger
A few thin slices of fresh ginger will add a slightly spicy and fragrant touch.
Sparkling version
Add a little sparkling water just before serving to turn the juice into a fizzy drink.
With fresh herbs
Mint, basil, and even a small amount of rosemary can provide very interesting aromas.
Frozen version
Pour the juice into ice cube trays and freeze. You can then use the ice cubes in water, smoothies, or other drinks.
